Welcome

 Good morning all, 

And welcome to my blog. I will be exploring the local cafes in and around cleethorpes and Grimsby with regard to their food, service, surroundings, cleanliness and value for money. 

My name is Helen and I have recently moved to north east Lincolnshire. I care for my mum (Dorothy)and my 2 adult children Jack and Amy. 

After living in lovely north somercotes for most of my life in the beautiful countryside on the east coast, I decided that it was time to start a new life in the town. Moving to the Grimsby/cleethorpes, is very different indeed.  

Firstly, where I used to live, was 1/4 of a mile from Donna nook, in the middle of beautiful fields. Our garden was filled with wildlife from birds of all kinds to deer, squirrels and pheasant. (Which I miss enormously)

But as I’m getting older I wanted to have more amenities close at hand instead of having to travel to the town which was 10-18 miles away depending on where I wanted to go.

Where I live and now is very close to shops, we are on mains gas etc (which we never had before), as well as parks and the seaside of cleethorpes and so has its advantages. 

here however, we have No birds or wildlife at all to speak of and we are in the process of getting used to our new life.
